Learn how to shop for ingredients and prepare a meal like one of Philly’s best chefs! This new, intimate monthly after-hours dinner series will highlight how the Market can provide everything that you need to make a chef caliber meal at home. During the tour the chef will show you how to choose the best ingredients for your meal and where they chose to source them from within the Market. Next, they will walk you through a step-by-step demonstration on how to make one of the courses on the evening’s menu using the ingredients that were just purchased. Finally, you will be experiencing gustatory bliss as you enjoy a one-of-a-kind multi-course, seasonal dinner prepared in the open kitchen.
The second dinner in our new after-house dinner series will be taking place on September 13th from 5:30 to 8:00 PM and will be cooked by Chef Clara Park. Chef Park is a Chopped Champion who has made Philadelphia her culinary canvas. She is currently a chef instructor at LaSalle University and has experience in several Philadelphia and New York restaurants, where she gave the food her own Korean influence.

Appetizer/Salad Course: Autumn Harvest Salad – Arugula, spinach, iceberg, apples, persimmons, pears, walnuts, mushrooms, gorgonzola, fig balsamic vinaigrette
Entree: Braised beef, rutabaga, turnip and sweet potato over creamy polenta, sauteed kale with garlic
Cheese Course: Cheese plate with spiced pear compote, local honey and raisin bread toast points
Dessert Course: Warm apple crumble with cinnamon chantilly cream and vanilla ice cream
