We are open 8 a.m. – 6 p.m. 7 days a week with the exception of New Years Day, Easter, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, and Christmas. Individual merchant hours may vary.

There are several handicap parking spaces on the streets surrounding the market as well as 18 and 21, respectively, at our two partner garages.

We do not offer a bag or coat check service. You may check with nearby hotels and their concierge service for these amenities.

No! The Market is free to explore and pay as you go.

All entrance doors are street level with the exception of Door #3. Automated Door Openers can be found at Door #6 (12th Street) and Door #9 (Filbert Street).

Merchants accept cash, major credit cards, and Reading Terminal Market gift cards. Individual merchants may accept digital payments like Apple Pay at their own discretion.

Where can I buy Reading Terminal Market merchandise?
Hats, reusable bags, and more can be purchased on our website. The Pennsylvania General Store also stocks t-shirts, coffee mugs, and additional items online and in-store.
Do I have to bring my own bags due to Philadelphia’s plastic bag ban?
In accordance with the City of Philadelphia’s plastic bag ban, most merchants do not supply plastic bags upon purchase. Exceptions include butchers and fish mongers as permitted by the legislation. Many merchants still provide paper and recycled plastic bags but we do encourage you to supply your own reusable option. Reading Terminal Market branded reusable totes are available for purchase in the Market Office.
Do you have options for individuals with food sensitivities?
Many of our merchants offer vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free, flourless, and nut-free options and more! Fox & Son Fancy Fair Food is currently our only certified gluten-free merchant. Please ensure you alert staff members to any preferences or allergies upon visiting an individual merchant.
Can I bring my pet inside?
Pets are not permitted inside the Market with the exception of registered service animals.
Do you accept SNAP/EBT?
Yes! 16 merchants currently accept SNAP/EBT. A full list can be found here.
Do you offer wheel chairs or motorized scooters?
At this time we are not able to offer wheel chairs or motorized scooters to customers.
What are the best days/times to visit the Market?
We like to think any time is the best time! Crowd size depends on convention traffic, time of year, and more. Generally if you’re interested in exploring the Market during a less-crowded period we recommend weekdays before 11 a.m. and after 2 p.m.

Gift cards are available for purchase online or you can visit the Market Office (located up the stairs behind Flying Monkey Bakery) Monday – Friday 9 a.m. – 5 p.m. to buy one in-person.
