Covered outdoor public space between Jefferson Station and Reading Terminal Market will remain open on weekends
PHILADELPHIA – Reading Terminal Market’s outdoor destination, The Plaza at Reading Terminal Market presented by Jefferson, will extend its run through August 30. The 15,000 square foot pedestrian-friendly plaza will remain open on weekends (Friday, Saturday, and Sunday) with expanded seating, lawn games, live entertainment, and small business shopping options. A special activation of The Plaza will take place on Saturday, August 15 for Reading Terminal Market’s Ice Cream Festival on Filbert St.
Throughout June and July, Reading Terminal Market welcomed dozens of local entrepreneurs and entertainers, brought together local grocery shoppers and visitors from around the globe, created opportunities for community connection, and partnered with local organizations to provide even greater access to Philadelphia’s historic public market.
Reading Terminal Market extends its immense gratitude to their presenting sponsor and Market East neighbor, Jefferson. Additional sponsors Truly Hard Seltzer, Sun Cruiser, PepsiCo and Creative Philadelphia contributed to creating a fun, celebratory Plaza.
