We welcome anyone from Philadelphia and the tri-state area. \nAny age and all walks of life are welcome! \n\n \n\n\n\nAs a Reading Terminal Market Ambassador\, volunteer activities include but are not limited to:\n\n\nWarmly greeting visitors and answering questions about the Market’s history\, Merchants\, and offerings.\n\n\nProviding accurate\, up-to-date information on Merchant products\, food options\, and special events.\n\n\nHelping guests explore the Market’s diversity\, including details on various food types and artisan goods.\n\n\nGuiding visitors through the layout\, highlighting areas such as restrooms and eating zones.\n\n\nScheduling and Assignments:\n\n\nCurrently\, Ambassadors are on-site 4 days a week\, i.e.\, Thursday through Sunday – with the intention to have volunteers on-site 7 days a week by Winter 2025.\n\n\nAmbassadors cover the peak times of the day in 2 to 3 hour shifts.\n\n\nOnce fully onboarded\, there is an electronic scheduling process for the volunteer shifts.\n\n\nDuring your time on the Market floor you will be posted in RTM’s Center Court or the Welcome Center (Information Desk on 12th Street).\n\n\nVolunteer Expectations:\n\n\nTo volunteer at least one shift a month (3 hours).\n\n\nBecome knowledgeable about the history of the Reading Terminal Market and the Merchants.\n\n\nComfort working in a busy urban environment.\n\n\nFriendly demeanor.\n\n\nComplete the training requirements for the Ambassador Volunteer role.\n\n\nA love for the Market and Philadelphia!\n\n\nUpcoming Training Dates\nMay\n\n\nVirtual | Fri.
