As of 12:01 a.m. on Thursday, August 12 masks are once again required inside Reading Terminal Market. This policy is in accordance with City of Philadelphia guidelines and will be strictly enforced. Who is required to wear a mask?
Everyone who enters Reading Terminal Market. This includes customers, guests, staff, merchants, and vendors.

Are there any exceptions?
Individuals may only remove their masks if they are seated at one of our designated indoor dining areas or a merchant counter while dining. Eating and drinking while walking around the Market is no longer permitted.

What about medical exceptions?
In accordance with CDC guidelines, most people with underlying medical conditions can and should wear masks. If your physician has determined you cannot wear a mask, we encourage you to use our curbside pickup or home delivery options to keep yourself as safe as possible.

What if I have proof that I’m vaccinated?
Masks are still required inside the Market even if you’re vaccinated.

How long will masks be required inside the Market?
As of August 12, 2021, masks are required for the foreseeable future. We are following the City’s guidance and will update our policy and communication channels accordingly should anything change.

What kind of protection are you offering customers outside of masks?
Reading Terminal Market has an above-industry standard ventilation system. We also have hand sanitizer readily available at all our entrances and throughout the Market.
