Spataro’s Cheesesteaks will be closed from August 1st – 3rd
Just look for the Liberty Bell in red neon and you’ll find Spataro’s. Under the glow of that Philadelphia icon you’ll find another: a Philadelphia cheesesteak. Come lunchtime, Spataro’s sizzles theirs up the classic way on a flat-topped griddle, wit or wit-out onions, offering the classic cheese choices—American, provolone, or Whiz— and the option to add peppers or mushrooms, if you like. Besides cheesesteaks, they also have a selection of sandwiches and hoagies, including classic favorites like corned beef, roasted turkey, and tuna salad.
Or, opt instead for an Italian hoagie or sandwich with capocollo and Genoa salami. Don’t forget to ask for a shake of oregano and some sweet or hot pickled peppers to eat alongside. Though Spataro’s will make you a cheesesteak at any time of day, their egg and cheese breakfast sandwiches, which they serve until 11:00 each morning, might just make for a new favorite Philly sandwich with real Taylor Pork Roll.
