When you find yourself face-to-face with a heated display full of crispy, whole-roasted Peking ducks, you know you’ve made it to Sang Kee. Owner and Executive Chef Michael Chow has been perfecting the art of roast duck since the early eighties, and his restaurant in Chinatown, Sang Kee Peking Duck House, has been named “Best in Philly” on multiple occasions. Here at Chow’s take-out location in the Reading Terminal Market, you’ll find a full menu of Chinese classics sold in platters or by the pound, including barbecued meats, noodle soups, fried rice, and, of course, Peking duck. The Wonton Noodle Soup is a favorite of the local lunchtime crowd, as is the roast duck and pork combo, served over rice with bok choy.
