Placing a high priority on the idea that beautiful flowers shouldn’t come with an environmental hangover, Market Blooms is dedicated to sustainable sourcing and environmentally sound practices. Their selection includes fresh flowers from all over the world, but what makes Market Blooms truly special is that, during the warmer months, owner Steve DeShong grows lots of the stand’s flowers just a few miles away on his farm in Clarksburg, NJ. Enjoy a simple arrangement of his local peonies, sunflowers, zinnias, and many other flowers—grown using completely organic practices—or put together a more exotic arrangement of birds of paradise or orchids. Market Blooms is also the place to stop in springtime to prepare your own garden, as they stock spring and summer bulbs as well as a large collection of vegetable and flower seeds.
