Silversmith Charita Powell first opened Amazulu in 1989 as a way to market her own line of handmade sterling silver jewelry. Now, she runs the stall as an artists’ collective, also showcasing unique designs created by metalworkers from all over the country and world. Each necklace, bracelet, ring, and set of earrings on display at Amazulu comes with a story and is made or selected by Powell for its high quality and intricate details. Stop by for a leisurely browse and a chat (with Powell herself or one of her friendly, knowledgeable sales associates), and make sure to ask about Amazulu’s home décor designs, too, which include one-of-a-kind lamps, dolls, sculptures, and more.
