Kujichagulia – Skillets and Skill Sets: A Soul Food Journey at Reading Terminal Market

This event has Sold Out – Thank You!

In celebration of Kwanzaa, the African American Museum in Philadelphia and Reading Terminal Market will host a cooking demonstration on Wednesday, December 27 from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. in City Kitchen.

Careda Matthews, Jamaican-born chef from Careda’s Caribbean Cuisine, will prepare a traditional Kwanzaa meal, including a vegan option. After the demo, guests will enjoy a free tasting.

Kwanzaa is a celebration of cultural heritage and traditional values and will be observed from December 26th through January 1st. The word Kwanzaa is Swahili and means “First Fruits of the Harvest.” Anyone can celebrate Kwanzaa and we look forward to celebrating with you and your family.

Reservations are required for this free event and seating is limited. Please arrive on time or your seat may be given away to another guest.
