Community Health Awareness Matters to Philadelphians
Friday, Oct. 3rd | 10 AM - 1 PM | Arch Court

Community Health Awareness Matters to Philadelphians (CHAMPS):
As part of its renewed strategic vision, Reading Terminal Market is proud to introduce CHAMPS, Community Health Awareness Matters to Philadelphians. This initiative reaffirms the Market’s commitment to serving as a vital resource for local residents and a strong partner to organizations working to improve community well-being across the region.
Through a partnership with Healthy Minds Philly (a program of DBHIDS) and Greater Philadelphia Health Action (GPHA), CHAMPS hosts monthly tabling events at the Market, connecting Philadelphians to essential resources. Examples of offerings provided by these sessions include free, confidential behavioral health, blood pressure, and diabetes screenings conducted by trained professionals such as those at GPHA, from Healthy Minds Philly and other organizations.
In October 2025, RTM will begin hosting these tabling sessions. In addition to screenings, visitors can expect:
- Nutritional counseling
- Educational resources about common health conditions or public benefits
- Giveaways for shoppers who participate
No pre-registration is required. These free screenings are open to walk-in availability.
