Take a Historic Tour of the Reading Terminal Market Trainshed
with Architect Nan Gutterman, FAIA, FAPT
The trainshed above Reading Terminal Market is one of Philadelphia’s great feats of 19th-century engineering and urban design, and its story is deeply intertwined with the city’s rail, food, and architectural history. As part of the celebration surrounding the International Day of Monuments and Sites, Ms. Gutterman will provide a brief history of the trainshed, its renovation and transformation into the Grand Hall of the Pennsylvania Convention Center.

About Architect Nan Gutterman, FAIA, FAPT
Nan R. Gutterman is a registered architect at VITETTA, a DRG Architects company, who specializes in Historic Preservation. Ms. Gutterman has developed innovative preservation and conservation guidelines and treatments for all major materials. Ms. Gutterman has implemented many long-term preservation strategies for major historic landmarks working on some of the country’s most important historic buildings over her 42-year career including over 15 years working on the Trainshed/PA Convention Center.
