The Veteran-owned olive oil and balsamic vinegar tasting room offers award-winning plain and infused product options along with a full truffle collection, relishes, pickled items and other complimentary gourmet offerings from around the world at its first permanent location. Owner Thomas Sheridan had more than a decade of experience in importing and producing under his belt before striking out on his own. Operating out of a warehouse in Kensington, the company imports products from all over the world, in addition to producing some of their own. Sheridan is a certified olive oil sommelier and balsamic vinegar analyst and travels to Italy for annual olive harvests and barrel changes to ensure product quality. Kensington Food Company stocks 70 olive oil and vinegar varieties at any given time with a frequent rotation of options based on seasonal availability. The store also sells dried mushrooms, pesto, truffle products, and relishes.
