Take I-76 to exit 344/Route 676 East. Follow signs for Central Philadelphia. Take the Broad Street exit/Route 611. You will be on Vine Street. Follow Vine Street through 4 traffic lights to 12th Street. Make a right onto 12th Street. Follow 12th Street 2 traffic lights to Arch Street. Reading Terminal Market will be on your left as you cross through the Arch Street intersection. Park in the Parkway garage on your right across the street from the Market.

From Pennsylvania Turnpike

Follow Pennsylvania Turnpike to exit 333/I-476. Take I-476 South to exit 16/I-76 Philadelphia. Stay on I-76 East for approximately 12 miles. Take exit 344/Route 676 East. Follow 676 East to Broad Street/Route 611. You will be on Vine Street. Follow Vine Street to 12 Street. Turn right onto 12th Street. Follow 12th Street 2 traffic lights to Arch Street. Reading Terminal Market will be on your left as you cross through the Arch Street intersection. Park in the Parkway garage on your right across the street from the Market.

From PA 309

Take PA 309 South to Pennsylvania Turnpike West. Follow to exit 333. Take I-76 South to exit 16/I-76 Philadelphia. Follow I-76 East for approximately 12 miles. Take exit 344/Route 676 East. Take PA 611 South into Philadelphia. 611 becomes Broad Street. Follow Broad Street South into downtown Philadelphia. Turn left onto Vine Street. Follow Vine Street to 12th Street. Turn right onto 12th Street. Follow 12th Street 2 traffic lights to Arch Street. Reading Terminal Market will be on your left as you cross through the Arch Street intersection. Park in the Parkway garage on your right across the street from the Market.

From I-95 South
Take I-95 South to exit 22 Central Philadelphia/Route 676. Follow signs for 676 West to the first exit/Broad Street. This exit brings you to 15th and Vine Streets. Make left at 2nd traffic light onto Vine Street. Follow Vine Street to 12th Street. Turn right onto 12th Street. Follow 12th Street 2 traffic lights to Arch Street. Reading Terminal Market will be on your left as you cross through the Arch Street intersection. Park in the Parkway garage on your right across the street from the Market.

From Philadelphia International Airport (I-95 North) Baltimore, Washington, and Delaware.

Take I-95 North to exit 22 Central Philadelphia/Route 676. Stay in left lane. Follow signs for 676 West to the first exit/Broad Street. This exit brings you to 15th and Vine Streets. Make left at 2nd traffic light onto Vine Street. Follow Vine Street to 12th Street. Turn right onto 12th Street. Follow 12th Street 2 traffic lights to Arch Street. From NJ and Atlantic City Area

Take Atlantic City Expressway to 42 North. Follow 42 North to the Benjamin Franklin Bridge/Route 676 crossing into Philadelphia. As you come off the bridge, follow signs for local traffic. Go approximately 6 blocks on Vine Street. Make left onto 12th Street. Follow 12th Street to Arch Street. Reading Terminal Market will be on your left as you cross through the Arch Street intersection. Park in the Parkway garage on your right across the street from the Market.

From New Jersey Turnpike and New York

Take New Jersey Turnpike South to exit 4 Philadelphia / Camden. Get onto 73 North and follow to 38 West. Continue on 38 West following signs for Benjamin Franklin Bridge to Philadelphia. As you come off the bridge, follow signs for local traffic. Go approximately 6 blocks. Make left onto 12th Street. Follow 12th Street to Arch Street.   • To preserve the architectural and historical character, and function, of the Reading Terminal Market as an urban farmers' market.
  • To provide a wide variety of produce, meat, fish, bakery and dairy products, and other raw and prepared food, brought to a public market in the center of the city by farmers, growers, producers and chefs;
  • To maintain an environment that recognizes and celebrates the diversity of our citizens and fosters their interaction;
  • To strengthen the historic link and mutual dependency of our rural and urban communities; and,
  • To achieve this, while preserving the financial viability and achieving self-sufficiency for the Market.

Operating Policy Guidelines

The Reading Terminal Market is a historic institution that, since 1892, has sustained a unique blend of merchants offering food and food products to people through the Philadelphia region. The Reading Terminal Market Corporation is committed to preserving the Market's tradition, and establishes these Operating Policy Guidelines to govern the Market.

  • In filling vacancies which may arise in the Market, general preference shall be given to growers and purveyors of local and regional produce.
  • Businesses in the Market which offer food intended primarily or exclusively for consumption within the Market shall be limited to no more that the greater of one-third of the total businesses in the Market, or one-third of the total leasable area of the Market.
  • All leases shall reserve to the Corporation the right to approve changes in the product lines of merchants in the Market.
  • Leases shall require the owners to be actively involved in the management and operation of their businesses within the Market.
  • Rental rates and rental differentials for merchants within the Market shall be established so as to facilitate the achievement of the above policies, while at the same time maintaining the self-sufficiency and financial viability of the Market.
  • Leases shall grant the Corporation approval rights over all plans and activities which result in changes to the facades and fixtures of stalls, even if these are paid for entirely by the merchants themselves. Corporation review and approval of such plans and activities shall be consistent with the "Declaration of Covenants and Restrictions for Reading Terminal" which comprises Exhibit "P" of the City/PCCA Lease and Service Agreement.

Rick Nichols Room

The Rick Nichols Room is a private event space on the Market floor that is available for your school group, corporate event or special occasion during business hours.

The room seats up to 48 guests in a luncheon/buffet layout and up to 72 in a lecture layout.

The rental rate is $100 per hour.
