Easy European Crusty Bread
Cooking Instructions:
In a large mixing bowl whisk together flour, salt, & yeast. Add water and mix until a shaggy mixture forms. Cover bowl with plastic wrap and set aside for 8-14 hours, or overnight. Place a 4-6 qt Dutch oven or clay pot with lid on, in the oven. Heat oven to 450°F, so that your pot and oven are heating at the same time. Meanwhile, place dough, seams down, onto a heavily floured piece of parchment paper and place carefully in center of pre-heated pot, return to oven with lid on. Cover and return to the oven for 30 minutes. After 30 minutes remove the lid, reduce the oven temperature to 350°F and bake for an additional 30 minutes. Remove bread from the oven and place on a cooling rack.
